Here’s a short review to keep our followers updated –
What’s in store for visitors of this event? Well, aside from prizes to be won, photo booth is really in. If you have uploaded photos from Instagram with their hashtags #ecommerceme #mobshowme #retailme and #paymentsme, you get to collect the pictures from their social media zone. Wee! But I’m not ready to show mine.
Well, I got to the registration booth the first day and I was welcomed with a smile. Cool. They assist you really fast, even if you don’t have premium pass, at least, compared to other events I have attended before. People are queuing but lucky I am to have been given my entrance badge faster because I have registered online. This is one of the advantages when you are embracing online transactions.
Moving on, I got a chance to hear the eCommerce and Retail Show conference with some giant industries such as Paris Gallery, American Apparel, Omnichannel, Tata Consultancy Services, Souqalmal, Amazon India, Mumzworld, etc.
It emphasized the importance of eCommerce specifically in the Middle East region where the climate is not very much inviting for an outdoor shopping during the long summer days. It also stated the edited shopping based apps listing more specifics of a retailed item. The keynote speakers believe that eCommerce will impact everything in 2-3 years time. It has a significant growth in Dubai alone, as compared to big countries such as China and the USA. It also answered the questions that eCommerce shouldn’t be a threat, but instead, should be a compliment to retailers. Another thing to consider for retailers is Cash On Delivery service. Cash On Delivery is not a game changer in the online business, it is a must. It is the future of online shopping. Yet still, the combination of eCommerce and traditional brick & mortar make an exciting experience.
Now, let me take you to a short tour on the stands of the Retail and Mobile Shows.
Finally, let’s give a high five to the organizers, Terrapin Dubai. It was a good show overall. More events to hear from you guys!
